The Horn of Africa has been waiting for a long time for this, and finally it came through the slight figure of K’Naan. The hip hopper escaped from the hell of the civil war in his Mogadiscio to set up his multilingual shop in Canada. His first album in 2005 allowed him to become the first Somalian to win a series of rap awards in North America and appear on MTV.
